These documents are for an employer to use to follow the correct procedure where allegations of misconduct have been made against an employee, or where an employee has raised a grievance. They enable the employer to comply with their obligations under the Employment Rights Act 1996 and take into account the Acas Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures and other best practice advice from Acas.
